I haven’t revisited the roster but I do know that just by head count there were too many WRs and Dbs on the projected roster.

Need to start budgeting both pure headcount and dollars at each position. Having more than 12 WRs makes no practical sense in this era.

We have 13 WRs now (14 if you count Samuel), and we are looking to add a few more in the portal. So I don't think a head count thing.

But agree with your point. Heck in the portal era one can argue there is no need for more than 10 guys. If kids aren't getting playing time they are going to bounce. So why even have guys on the roster who aren't contributing?

Maybe we still have some guys who are leaving? Also we just loss our top 3 WRs from last year? So why not bring in guys with production.

I think we have to many o-linemen right now.

Seems like we are going after more proven players from lower level instead of P4 guys with limited exp/playing time? Also might be able to get more bang for your buck this way & fill more holes? I guess we'll see how it plays out

It worked for Indiana in year 1. They took a bunch of good JMU guys and made them into a juggernaut. Of course their coach is one of the best.

Also got a monster lineman from Notre Dame, if I recall correctly.

The kids we have visiting are mostly from lower level schools, but not really anyone that stands out. Actually, it’s a pretty depressing lot of known visitors. Really hoping there are others.
