fine young men like Scoop and Ryan, who embody the student athlete experience and have used colege sports the way it was intended, have taken so much grief on "fan" forums. We would all do better to remember the real reasons these guys are in school.

True character either perseveres or turtles and both those young men showed us the type of men they really are. I will never understand the need to rip apart a college kid who plays for your favorite school...mention numbers and the like yes but the vial stuff that comes out of peoples mouths/keyboards just astound me at times.

To answer the question, two points:

1. In our desire to win we want players to conform to our ideals and get upset when they don't.
