Our D played hard yesterday but we don't seem to be as physical as we were. Tired, beat up, etc...but LQA and Barron were the only guys I saw yesterday delivering shots. Everyone else seemed to absorb shots.
The last few years, win or lose, I felt like I could say "well at least they will be feeling us the next day". Not the case this year.

Comes down to leadership and coaching. I imagine Rocky Long and Tony White have different personas that the defensive players would take on.

There's effort there. Sparrow hustled and dove and tripped the punt return guy. There are more cases but as for physical, I saw too many missed tackles and that was more technique than physical.

I feel you might have missed the sack Jobity that sent the ball into outer space.
I think we had signs of very physical play but end of the day FSU is bigger, faster, and deeper then us so they can just keep running out bodies.
Hopefully Perry starts getting more reps on defense the next few games.
Spend the bye week getting him up to speed and see what happens.

we got out schemed on a few running plays the other 30 they ran for 100 and thats pretty solid. Really until the last break down for 50 they were under 4 yds a carry.. Thats being pretty physical

Where we broke down was the lack of pass rush led to too many slow pass plays where time created room.

Even the long pass play I question how with alignment we ended up with no safety help to at least attempt a breakup.

On the long TD early on, the safety on that side of the field blew the coverage over the top.

He went towards the guy streaking middle of the field which the other safety had already picked up

Right the one sack with a blind side shot definitely proves physicality on the other 100 plays.

FSU, Clemson have been bigger and faster since we joined the league. We used to hit with them. This year we did not.

Haha chill man
I was just giving an example of one play was not OMG WE WERE SO PHYSICAL
I CLEARLY stated we had signs but they were much better

Going into the game FSU was 20-20 in the red zone. We had two fourth down stops. Kudos to the defense. They did a lot yesterday that went for naught.
They did their part. Offense helps defense and vice versa. They played well enough for us to beat them if we had a competent O. The score is so skewed because our horrendous O

If the offense does anything with the ball the score is in the lows 20s for them and most of the last few drives never happens.
