who came off the bench against NC and won that game for us in overtime? He looked like a future star with such a promising career ahead of him.
Zero expectations can yield fantastic results. It also speaks to the talent around that team. Even though Dungey made up for some weaknesses that was a solid team. I was excited to see what he brought to the table.who came off the bench against NC and won that game for us in overtime? He looked like a future star with such a promising career ahead of him.
pure conjecture here, but it’s hard to see what you can do better if you think it’s all on the OL and WR.
the offense needs him to take some chances, make plays with a less than perfect pocket, protect himself by throwing the ball on time even if it means an extra int or 2
He looked far from "capable" against ND. He was lost...just as lost as he is now and was most of last season. It's a shame but, it's obvious to anyone not wearing orange or Devito colored glasses.Even though Syracuse was blown out against Notre Dame, he looked capable. That was just an elite level team. Watch the UNC and FSU games to see the poise he had in the pocket. He's a QB who has a clock that is going off faster because of the pressure he faces. He's not exempt from criticism, but an average OL is going to make a QB a lot better. We saw it in the NFL during Week 1. The Eagles brought in a line that had guys who had taken three combined snaps in their career. The result? Wentz was sacked seven times. Jalen Hurts is going to see the field before the season is up because Carson is going to get hurt.
The Notre Dame game told everyone that the key to stopping Devito was to amp up the pressure. He looked far from "capable" against ND. He was lost...just as lost as he is now and was most of last season. It's a shame but, it's obvious to anyone not wearing orange or Devito colored glasses.
