Carter will obviously be missed for his leadership and tough yardage, but one of his biggest if not the biggest contribution was that he never fumbled the football. I could think of a few games (if I wasn't drunk since I am driven to drink by my 3 month old twins) that we won simply because we didn't turn the ball over running the football.

Not to take away anything from the backs we have, but can anyone be as good as Carter on this team at holding onto the rock? This is a huge key to this season's success.

Miss most...

Yes, Carter didn't fumble. I don't think we'll see any back ever again that will get the consecutive totes of the rock without dropping it once that DC3 amassed. He went some 300 carries without did he not? I think his last fumble @ UConn in '09. I may be wrong. I am trying like heck to see what his actual fumbleless streak was, but it seems rather difficult.
