...is not his poise, or the fact that he's moving the chains and scoring points. It isn't a huge stretch to imagine a more athletic QB coming in and making the offense more effective than the lethargic, ineffectual display we saw the first two games.

But what's surprised / impressed me the MOST is how freaking accurate he's been as a passer. He completed nearly 84% of his passes against Wagner--okay, that's a FCS team. But then he follows that up with a 16-21 performance [77%] that included several notable drops.

Kid really is efficient passing the ball. Like I said above, I might have expected him to more the sticks more by making plays with his feet, etc. But to be such an accurate passer as a relatively inexperienced player is pretty darn remarkable.

It's going to be a fun 3 years.

IMO he looks like a poor mans Terrelle Pryor in terms of measurables but seems to make better reads and has a good head on his shoulders.

In particular the throws under pressure - where he holds the ball calmly until the last fragment of a second - have been right there.

I'd like to see some designed runs - a quick draw vs. blitz on 3rd and 5+ - get him past the first level and running downhill.

My only issue with Hunt is probably going to be arm strength but he has the accuracy and on a flag route to Clark right before halftime he showed great accuracy and touch ... honestly if he had more sauce on his long ball he would be very Prior like.

Ryan had arm strength and couldn't hit the long pass, Allen has arm strength and underthrew Kobena this year. Hunt manages to throw the ball to wide open receivers, whether long or short throws, and the passes are complete, its called touch.

And he underthrew Kobena on a long pass in the Tulane game and allowed the defender to get back in the play ... honestly we don't have a large enough sample size to see how good his arm really is but I would wager that throwing long is not something we will see a lot of ... but again if he can make all the throws from 25 yards and in ... who cares? He will do just fine. I do worry against faster D1 DBs I think he may have a tougher time fitting throws in certain windows but he is extremely accurate.

He just seems like a damn good QB. He makes me more excited about the program then I have been in years. It seems he has some star potential. Something we haven't seen for a long time.

Agreed ... I don't think he will a stats machine like a McNabb ... mainly because we have some thoroughbred tailbacks but man he is fun to watch.

Can pretend Wagner was week one? This is an entirely different team with TMFH in there.

As nice as that would be to be honest I don't think we get here without those first two losses ... I think Allen would have had a longer leash and still beat Tulane and Wagner and masked that issue ... plus these guys after those two losses are playing with a chip on their shoulder ... very physical and flat out nasty. I think the two losses served as a wake up call to both the staff and the players and they are playing like they are taking it personally ... they want to play big boy football.

the whole field chemistry changed the first time he stepped on the field-you could almost see a weight being lifted from the other kids-dead faces awakened and had glowing smiles instantly-

i think this team was his in their eyes all along -and they loved it when he got his first shot-
and as they say-it started rolling and whent balls to the walls for how many series ?

so far he looks like a poker player who knows everyone's hand- cool hand hunt

True. He has been very accurate.

And he throws a pass that appears very easy to catch.

I am still frustrated that Kobena dropped two passes that were in his hands - yes above his head - that should have been caught.

Had he caught those two, Hunt would have been 18 for 21 - pretty good.

Was very impressed on the first play from scrimmage yesterday when TMFH (I like that docsu!) saw the blitzer coming and calmly stood there, found the open man and moved the chains. Ryan Nassib didn't do that until last year.

Can't take full credit for it...saw SMFS here and decided it was the most logical step.:)

Okay, I don't know what TMFH is. Help a sister out. Try not to swear.
