Yes, I am as disappointed as anyone after the great season that we had. But the fact of the matter is, while you need to be a great team (we were all year) you also need to have luck on your side. 2 of the past 3 regular seasons we have seen some of the best basketball played ever at SU, and only have an Elite 8 and a Sweet 16 to show for it. Why? Because we got unlucky both times. Losing AO in 2010 and Fab this year was too much to over come. No doubt in my mind we make it to the Final Four both years if those two situations didn't occur. But it is what it is.
The key now, is to keep up this level of recruiting and play. The more legit opportunities that SU has to make a final four and win it all, the better chance we have of making it there. Let's just keep putting out great teams, and eventually the luck will fall on our side.
