Good article in The Athletic (also available to NY Times subscribers). It talks about how college football is in a spot with all this conference uncertainty where they really need to lean into traditional rivalries. Then, in an ideal world, this is what one writer thinks they should look like.
Spoiler - they place us with BC, and Pitt vs. WVU in the Backyard Brawl. People might dismiss BC as a true "rival" of ours, but there have been an annoying number of losses to them over the years, several of which left a bad taste afterwards.
How should college football's rivalry weekend look?
Which college football rivalries are most important? Which ones have the most history? And what lineup would make the best rivalry weekend?
