Yup those are the two. I really think Acosta needs to be kept first and foremost. Got to keep him for his connections to NJ.

Before the start of the year Babers had two staff members go to Tulsa and Monty to be Co-Coordinators there. I wonder if one of them would think about coming back to be full offensive coordinator at a P5 school.

I doubt he retains anyone. Those guys are all moving on.

The other that I am pretty sure will also come is Brian Ward as our D Coordinator. Looking at his history I think it could actually be a good hire. Bowling Green did have a better defense then us last year in every category. What are others thoughts?

The best defense is a great offense.

Why would Coyle not make that an option? Whoever he hires as HC should have the ability to hire his guys and retain coaches from the prior staff, if he so prefers. I hope Coyle isn't putting any sort of restrictions on assistant hires, other than possibly financially related...

It hardly matters to me, honestly. If the D could make a couple of stops a game, or force a turnover here and there, we'd be in an infinitely better position than we've been for all but 4 games in the past 15 years.
