I thought we were around 8. Now expecting 9-10? What happened to this major NIL bump centered around Melo and friends? Granted, Gerry will have us better regardless… but, doesn’t seem like a big boost.

We have more than 9 or 10. We will have at least 12. The question is if we can boost it up from there. That, I don't know. But it won't be from lack of trying. one thing they will never do is walk around with chests puffed out and say they are flush with money. No one donates if you don't act like you need it.

I’d like to know the definition of each too
We had 4 for rev share and 4-5 for NIL. This year we have 4 and right now for rev share, through Lobdells group, and one from Vegas. We are at around 10 right now not including the Melo and other related contributions.

I’ve heard there’s optimism we can get to 13 plus. To Dasher’s point 12 is probably the safe low number and if anyone quotes the Norlander article again they deserve to be slapped. Do the math yourself. We are already past 9 with the public info out there.

NIL is, well, NIL, which (I believe) is all donations. Revenue share is the amount of the NCAA-mandated revenue the school can provide - each school has $20.5M to apportion to all their sports. This is provided by the school, but can be offset by donations.

We can all just quickly jump to a donation link and we'll get this grassroots thing going...oh wait, there isn't one yet.

They really need to set up the collective or someplace for those smaller donors. Vinny Lobdell talked about the $100 donation today. But we need to send that $100 someplace. Need to do this while the base is all riled up. Could easily raise 6 figures doing this.

So when they say Kentucky had a 22MM roster, was that NIL only or NIL + rev share and, if the latter, what was the breakdown between the two?

So 18-20 in pure NIL?

LOL…

BTW, it is estimated that UConn spent 20MM on their roster.

12-13 ain’t gonna get us that far.
Not sure where you’re getting that number. The experts have reported 10-12 all year. UK was light years ahead of everyone.

That’s not what UConn’s budget was. Not close.

St John’s was $10 million this year all in. That’s for a school with no football to pay for and a mega super ultra NIL whale in Mike Repole.

Yeah, that figure seems incorrect but good luck finding an actual one.

Every article. I read seems to have different figures, not just for UConn, but across the board.

Probably gave 20 million total to athletes that includes football and women’s basketball.

Everyone is piling on, but Uconn clearly isn't at $20 million just from the quality of their roster. They're definitely putting up serious cash that rivals anyone outside of Kentucky, but I don't think any non-Kentucky school is even at $15 mil for this year. Demary was their only big portal splash and Mullins is their only 5 star freshman. If they were really spending $20 mil, they would've been in the running for Dybantsa since he's from New England, but they weren't in his top 5
