Now how would I know??? :)

However, we can measure the players that saw the most playing time. If I had to guess the top 5 they would be:

1. G. McNamara
2. C. Anthony
3. D. Coleman
4. J. Flynn
5. B. Triche

I will post the real reasults after the weekend. In the meantime, take your best guess. Here's a clue, my guesses (above) are wrong.

Define favorite. Are you basing it on playing time? Or did you get him drunk and he spilled the goods? :)

Jim will tell you (appropriately) that he loves all his children equally. But Mike Hopkins has to be on any secret list. He came here as a goofy, likable surfer boy from Southern California, but no one played here with more heart and determination (and floor burns).

DeShaun Williams, Paul Harris and Louie McCroskey all have to be high up on the list.

I don't know how he'd judge but based on some of his public comments about players I'd say Carmelo and Pearl are at the top

Pearl might be on the list- JB has commented how important he was to the evolution of the program. He's also thrown a lot of love Sherms way.

Carmelo is the only one I know of that JB (Julie's comment) said he loved.

I always imagined JB as the type of coach who takes who he is proud of over who he liked the best.

JB might like his best players alittle more outgoingly because of the success, but I always imagined he was just as proud of guys like Dnic, AO, Rick Jackson, Duany, Josh Pace. And I would bet that goes back alot further then them.

The Lee Brothers, DOOOOOOMS, Tommy Brain Tree Stundis, Sweet D, Hack, Those were the guys who set the foundation

Consciously - GMac (gratitude for Ring forgave later blizzard of early shot clock clanks; TRob/Watkins absorb most of blame)
Subconsciously - Louis Orr (B still recruits skinny 6'8" project guys)

Here is the list (in no particular order)

1. Pearl
2. Douglas
3. Moten
4. Owens
5. Carmelo
6. Stephen Thompson
7. Derrick Coleman
