& moments aside from anything to do with SU

Mine

1. Leigh over Duke

2. Norfolk St over Missouri

3. Cincy over Florida St
Just a great basketball game where both sides played their guts out.

My other favorite moments

Ions's first 15 minutes where they scored 55 points reminded me of Gather's & Kimball's Loyola Marymont. The Gaels were answering the critics who said they didn't belong. Unfortunately the game is 40 minutes long and Iona didn't do much with the last 25 minutes especially after the Mormon's threw up a zone against them.(I know this was from before the weekend)

Iowa State making a comeback against Kentucky. Unfortunatley it woke the sleeping giant and the Wildcat's played some of the best basketball of their season. They have so many pros...hey wait.... isn't it against to rules to use paid player's look what happened to Samuels & K State?

South Florida's second half against Temple. At one point in the first half the Bulls were shooting something like 7%. They closed from down 19-10 to 19-15 at the half. In the 2nd half they just blitzed the Owls.

Gerg Anthony educating the panel about basketball, has he ever coached?

There were more but that's from the top of my head.

Favorite was Lehigh over Duke.

Best game was Cinci v. FSU.

SU over K State
Lehigh over Duke
Indiana over VCU
Wiscy over Vandy

Besides the SU game, I don't see how anyone could pick anything other than Lehigh / Duke or Norfolk State over Missouri.

Incredible games, tension, both went right down to the wire. Huge implications in both. Momumental upsets.

March Madness!

St. Bonaventure vs. FSU. The Bonnies were in it the whole game and just ran out of gas at the end.

Kansas win -- never led until the last minute.

Cincy's tough win vs Florida State. Love the Cincy guards. Wish we had a couple like that for next year.

2nd half of SU-KSU
My favorite moments concerning Syracuse were the emergence at center of Rakeem Christmas. His 11 rebounds and 3 blocked shots were just what the doctor ordered. The extra bonus were the eight point he scored while playing a yeoman 34 minutes without fouling out.

James Southerland emerged from his late season nap to become the James from the pre-Big East schedule. He elevated his game in crunch time on the biggest stage there is. We all knew he could do it, he just had to regain his confidence.

Jim Boeheim can breath a little easier with the great contributions he got from these two bonus players.

The road gets tougher from hereon in. JB has to find the key to get some consistency out of Kris Joseph like a 15 & 10 game and wake up the fans favorite, CJ Fair and get him back to the smooth player that he is. I'd like to see better decisions coming from Brandon Triche too, I wonder how his wrist is? Is it the same one he injured earlier in the year? I think JB has to think about getting MCW into a game at some point. The kid is a stud.

Just do it!

Yup another nail bitter.

I also loved JB's substitution patterns in these two games. Substituting Keita to keep Rak fresh, putting J-South, Joseph, Rak, Scoop and Dion (our best scoring unit) together for long stretches...

He knows Dion can get 20 in his sleep, so he rolled with Triche for an extended period to try to get him loose and into the game.

May not be able to do that in Boston. We'll need our gunners to set the pace.

Favorite Result - Leigh over Duke

Best Game - Marq/Murray St

Easily Lehigh over Duke.

Wanted to see Bonnies win, still a good game.

Cincy/FSU was an all out war.

He rolled with Triche for an extended period because the team was playing well with during that period. Once the calendar flips to January JB plays for today and rides the hot hand, he doesn't generally give out minutes hoping to get a later return on them.

Agree on the Kansas game. Thought Purdue was going to pull it off. Kansas' guards were very sloppy with the ball.

Let me add that the game I really wanted to see was UConn taking a shot at Kentucky. No offense to Iowa State, but the Huskies could have given Kentucky a big scare, in my opinion.

Roscoe Smith taking another half court shot with too much time left, and Jeremy Lamb's steal and botched windmill.

Syracuse 72 UNCA 65

Syracuse 75 K-State 59

The rest? A couple of memorable upsets but no really great games. At the end of them it was mostly about blown opportunities.

1) Norfolk/Missouri The Missouri fans were obnoxious this year with the SEC chants and all.
2) Lehigh/Duke Always good to see Duke get beat at home in the tourney by a nobody.
3) Cincy/FSU This was a flat out barn burner as someone else said, great game. If I hear that FSU "war chant" one more time...

Not including SU games, otherwise SU/K-St was #1..

Marquette vs Murray St was the best low scoring game that I've seen all year.

Norfolk St vs Mizzou was a good one as well.

Cincy & FSU was great in the last 5 minutes.

Felt bad for Robbie Hummel as it looked like for 39 minutes that they would pull off the upset.

CJ McCollum from Lehigh giving the Dukies the biz was a real treat to watch :)
