What will the O be under Collins?

Don’t know what he’s capable of re if he can be a plug in and play, The little available film on him suggests he doesn’t have this kind of arm.

Maybe we will be surprised, maybe they will try to keep on keeping on this first game against Duke, and if it’s not successful, go to what I posted above. Never a dull moment in orange land! Guess we will find out
Collins has a big arm not the other way around

It seems like we were trying to run the same offense with Collins as we did with Angeli, which doesn't make sense to me. I would have liked to have seen way more QB draws and other designed runs with Rickie.
Anyone else not sold on Nixon getting so many runs up the middle? He dances to the hole and then hits it upright. What am I missing? Is it on the line, and not him?

Seeing him scrambling I am
Not impressed with him running the football.

Disappointing

Agreed.

This is why I always disregard when people describe a QBs best attributes, and lead off with "arm strength."

Arm strength is such a minimum threshold requirement with low correlation to QB success, and something that people point to when other attributes are lacking.

Collins looked like he lacked playmaking apptitude. He didn't go through progressions. He didn't do thinks like manipulate the secondary with his eyes to help open up throwing lanes.

Was hoping that he would enable the offense to be something like 85% of what it was under Angeli. This was his first start, so I want to believe / hope that he'll get better and improve, but I think pending a massive improvement next game, I need to rebasline the expectations.

This seems like CDRW all over again [quality starter going down due to injury, backup who checks a lot of the measurables and recruiting check boxes, but just isn't a good QB].

Agree with you. Collins had all spring/summer ball plus fall camp competition to be able to competently command an offense. Thats more than enough time to demonstrate what you can do in live play. He doesn't have it. Plus I personally think he looked awful against Clemson. The TD pass to Ross Simmons was lucky as all hell. It looks to me that he has no idea what he is doing out there.

CDRW is a good comparison
