What's the deal with the Bell?

Where did that come from?

A fraternity used to ring that bell back in the days of Archbold Stadium. Big tradition back then.

It was the Alpha Chi Rho bell. ATO had the cannon and in the day Colgate always tried to steal the bell.

Yes, Alpha Chi Rho, (the Crow house), has had the bell as a tradition dating back before I was a Crow and rang it at games from 1959 through 1963. It was always good for sideline tickets including a trip to the Polo Grounds.

I was a crow in '51 - '54. about '52 we caught three Colgate guys trying to steal it and they ended up with an A and X and a P on their shaved heads.
