When to arrive at Metlife?

I'm coming from Brooklyn, not that far away, but I can't decide how early to plan to arrive at the stadium. Mostly concerned with traffic and parking. Certainly planning on being there by six, but should I aim for an earlier arrival?

3pm. Not sure what traffic ny looks like at 5pm on a Saturday but it's nyc so presume there's traffic. One accident could fubar the best laid plans and also, as stated, the parking lots are terrible due to the utterly useless parking attendents. I got there 3 hours prior to last years game and parking was already miserable.

not to mention even finding a spot.

i cant believe the maroons here are complaining about the lot attendants, just what did they do to you??

Are you going through staten island? Traffic might not be too bad but neither is the train. Something to consider
