I was thinking today - our defense has been absolutely elite in the last 7 years worth or NCAA Tournaments. I assume if anyone really cared to give any credit to Syracuse beyond platitudes, they might discover it is one of the most dominant defensive runs of all time in the tourney.

That said - we have had less than stellar offensive performances. When was our last truly great offensive game in the tourney? It might be Gonzaga 2010 (maybe Montana in 2013). I just feel like, man we must be due. Watching Wiltjer I was thinking - how come we can't have a guy go off like that in the tourney? Today is another chance for it to happen and I think we have three or four guys who could do it, question is will they do it? Lydon is due for a 20+ point game and I think Mali is also due. He played pretty well on offense against the Zags but his lay-ins just didn't go down and he has looked a little tentative to shoot. I don't think he will be today.

Well, GMac went off for 43 points (9 three-pointers) against BYU in 2004.
Like KRS said, "I was there". Sat in a sea of BYU fans, had them cracking up, they were all good natured about everything..

Of course. But I think you are proving my point. That was 12 years ago my man!

It was awesome though. I remember that BYU team had Hellboy underneath and they also had that 45 year old overweight guy they brought off the bench who got gassed after 3 possessions. He looked like he was out there because he won a fan contest!

2 games ago? :noidea:

We scored our season average more or less. The fact that we think this is a great offensive performance is evidence that we haven't had many! I just think we are due and today would be the perfect occasion for it.

Gonzaga in 2010
Ariz St in 09 was pretty good
Texas in 2003
1st half vs Kansas - obvi

Other than that, you may be right outside of 1st round games.

Arkansas in 1995?

Seriously, everyone seems to get a little conservative at this stage. Would be enough to see 40 minutes of efficient offense, even without a ton of scoring.
