Where does Wisconson find all these white boys?

Ehhh if you've ever been on a playground playing pick up ball with whites and blacks, "white boy" isn't exactly a PC term.

What would you prefer to say? "Caucasian men?"

That is what they are! Males! And white!

I know it is a racist slur to call a black man a "boy," because that is an historic term of deprecation. But what is wrong with calling a young white man a "white boy?" That is... what he is.

I live in CT... where everyone refers to the UConn women's basketball team... and the "UConn girls."
It's the Syracuse men's team, not boys team. And the UConn women's team, like other college teams, is composed of women, young adults, not girls. My old bible, The AP Stylebook, says people 18 or older are men and women. A girl, to me, is 12. And a young white, black, purple, whatever man is a man ... not a boy.

reread the thread title. switch it up a bit. and then tell me if it's still sounds ok . he's not asking where wisky finds talented players. it's about talented "caucasian" players . there is the implicit implied correlation here of race and ability. again does it bother me ? no. but it is predicated on a racist assumption.
