Where Have You Gone Joe Dailey?

Who knows if he would have been good let alone great here but it would have at least provided some competition for Perry Patterson - Joe Fields era.

St. Peter's Prep players are notoriously overrated by scouting services and fail to live up to their 'expectations'.

It seems that he has been following Turner Gill all over the country.

Now the QB Coach at Liberty University.

Still convinced that his decision to decommit and go to NU was a huge mistake that cost him and the SU Football Program.

I have a great story to tell about Dailey. I was told by a close friend who was a member of SU team back then, that he was put in the coaches dog house for the rest of his career because he was blamed for forcing Dailey to drink alcohol during his recruiting visit. Dailey didnt want to drink. He told the coaching staff about this and the coaches thought that kept him from committing to SU. My friend told me that he did not do anything like that and felt Dailey used that as an excuse. Till this day my friend hates him for this.

Was that the Dumas crew that was actively telling recruits NOT to come to Syracuse?

no. didnt know about that one? whats that all about?

Dumas taught him how to add money on his SUpercard and how to get to Kimmel. Dailey took one look at his gut and ran as fast as he could to Lincoln, Nebraska.

Actually, the coaches were very careful about who was responsible for JD that weekend.

The player they selected was a solid citizen - a good kid.

Dailey is prominent on the list of QB recruits who considered SU but chose to go elsewhere and either had mediocre careers or were made to switch positions.

Others that come to mind are Leak of Wake Forest, Joseph of Tulane and Rutherford of Pitt.

Of course, there is the other side, like Mike Vick.

Joe Dailey stunk where ever he went, what makes one think that losing him had ANY significance. Stink is stink, he sucked in like 3 different systems.

Dumas did us a favor

Anquan Bolden. He did turn out to be decent WR, though.:)
