They let him go because he did some shady shite that could have opened the door to NCAA investigators.  The Hart mess was the beginning of the end for him in Westwood.  In the end, JB did the right thing, the Hart family was behind him 100% when all was said and done, and Jason had a great career because he worked his ass off.  And Harrick went on to disgrace himself a second time at Georgia.

If Seton Hall tampered with TT, even remotely, JB can't simply look the other way.  TT and his mom owe JB an explanation.  If JB grants a release, then I'm good with his decision.  If he doesn't, same thing.  He'll know if something fishy happened, and he should act accordingly if it did.  JB will not do TT wrong even though he probably deserves a hard lesson.  It's not his style.  But he will make sure a point is made.  TT may not ever play for the Hall, release or not.  If they tampered, they'll be blocked.
