Thank you Dasher for whatever you’re doing in the background. The best case scenario for Syracuse athletics is to have both the Lally’s continued support and Weitsman’s support again. Weitsman is an influencer with lots of connections that can be super important in supplemental support through NIL opportunities once the university starts paying athletes directly. We truly need everyone’s support. Weitsman also has a huge connection with the Gen Z’ers who’ve graduated Syracuse in the last 5 to 6 years and can be a huge ambassador to keep that generation engaged and to be future donors.

Ego's, plain and simple. Comes with the billions. We're seeing real time what went wrong and it's just being rehashed now. Get them to Tully's and Mug of Labatts and some wings and get over it.

That’s actually a very “above the belt” type response from AW. AW is beginning to respond more and post a few things about his time doing his deal with SU (and mentioned how he didn’t do it in the best of ways - took ownership of that) I wonder if he is trying to open the door a little bit again? As a big time fan, I would love nothing more then for JL and AW to connect and unite in a positive way for SU athletics. One can dream!

He never broke any rules. When NIL became a thing, he wanted to make NIL deals and did. That one twitter post was completely inaccurate.

Putting eeeverything else aside with Weitsman, Waters' quote saying AW had a recruit on a plane with a "rapper" and that made them "very nervous" is so odd. Makes it sound like there was something wrong with it being a rapper specifically. Like some other type of celebrity would be less of an issue? Interesting phrasing Mike.

That’s fair. Weitsman social media presence was very engaging to students at the time they were at SU. The celebrities coming to the games will have many students who attended during that time remembering SU basketball fondly when quite frankly the program wasn’t performing up to our historical reputation. Jimmy Fallon leading the SU Marching Band. He also always had his inbox open to SU students aspiring to be entrepreneurs to just reach out and ask for advice. He knows how to connect with the Gen Z generation.

Syracuse doesn't want him as a donor. Dasher is trying to open the lines of communication so that the parties involved can work it out. But as of right now, Syracuse doesn't want Adam Weitsman involved with Syracuse University Athletics.
