This is more because we haven't been ranked since 2001. It is very hard to change people's perception after being a poor team for seventeen years. I agree that we need to beat two lousy teams: Pitt and UNC to be ranked. If we lost either one, we need to reach 9-2 to be ranked.

Yup. Unfortunately the narrative will be what it is. Anyone catch our halftime highlights during the Baylor-Oklahoma game? One guy said something about “they were trading turnovers and it looked like NOBODY wanted to win this one”...ugh, what? We had one turnover.

Not that it matters but the question is, have we played like one of the top 25 teams in the country so far this year? Clemson need a good drive near the end of the 4th to win the game, we didn't play great offense in the 2nd half but we controlled most of the game according to the score.

So yes, we are one of the top 25 teams in the country. There's just no question.

Will we be ranked, probably not.
