I knew it. You and Marsh really are UConn fans. Exposed!!I'd take everyone back that still has eligibility.

A coach like Fran comes in and says I am going to build the team around you and White who I also saved for the Orange. Just saying. But why would a McD's AA caliber guy like Freeman stay if everyone else bails?
He'll have options, if he doesn't jump to NBA
everyone on the roster needs oneFreeman, I guess, but he needs a defense camp.
I think the right new coach can come in and get the kids he wants to stay. The right coach.
Pena, LQA, Gadson, Wax, Barron, didn't leave in football.
Cuffe would have been a perfect guy for JB to coach. Bench player who can come in and provide a spark, play defense hard and get some effort points/rebounds/free throws. Boeheim would have kept the bad 3’s in check with the quick hook. But Autry is all over the place. Didn’t play him at all when he should have and now playing him a bit too much. I think Cuffe does have a valuable role but Autry seems clueless as to what it is.And didn't play him and didn't care if he left. He is not part of the answer. He is a guy that can
get some minutes on a dreadful team..
He is not the only coach who can do that. And, it's also possible that a coaching change might get guys to stay.Does Fran know somebody who coaches?
i get what youre saying but i think cuffe offers some good things and just needs some good coaching ...needs to reign in some parts of his game is allCuffe is 5-20 (2-12 from 3) in the last two games, with a bunch of made free throws. He can’t shoot. He isn’t the answer, or even part of it, IMO
He aint sniffing the NBA are you serious. Not even close to ready. So soft. He couldn't even earn time on the Caribbean team last summer in the Olympics. Not to mention he has zero defensive instinct or interests. Zero. Not a single fiber of Conrad McRae inner fortitudeBut why would a McD's AA caliber guy like Freeman stay if everyone else bails?

Start with these guys to play and/or coach…Does Fran know somebody who coaches?
I don't think you necessarily understand how the NBA draft works. He aint sniffing the NBA are you serious. Not even close to ready. So soft. He couldn't even earn time on the Caribbean team last summer in the Olympics.
My thinking is - if the coaching and mismatched roster are the big issues, it should be possible to improve the coaching and get roster fits while not completely having to strip the roster for parts.I knew it. You and Marsh really are UConn fans. Exposed!!
Yeah, Freeman isn't hurting his NBA draft potential at all.I don't think you need understand how the NBA draft works.
Donnie. And I guess JJ. For me, if anyone else leaves, I'm fine.
No leader. This doesn’t get said enough. JJ doesn’t have the instinct for it. Gonna need to buy that next year in the portal. If we don't add at least one, if not two, more PG's in addition to Fennell it won't matter. That is where the leadership on the floor is missing completely. Just non-existent.
Freeman to the NBA next year?? Even they won't take his turnstile form of defense and lack of hustle if his number is not called... Mintz anyone??But why would a McD's AA caliber guy like Freeman stay if everyone else bails?

I can't tell you how surprised I would be if Bell was back next year.I sort of agree - it’s hard to build a bench in the portal era, so as long as we aren’t guaranteeing playing time (or bringing back bad locker room/off the court presences) I’m generally fine with anyone being back as long as there’s extensive supplementing though the portal.
Fine to have as a bench pieces: Cuffe/Bell (and Westry I guess, but can’t imagine he’s sticking around if he can’t get off the bench this year)
Intriguing but I’ll live if they leave: Choppa/Petar
Could be a good piece on a better-constructed team: JJ
Enough upside that I’d be bummed if he left: Freeman
Have you seen him in the first round of any of the mock drafts? Serious questionI don't think you need understand how the NBA draft works.
But the roster is hot garbage. 80 percent of these guys don’t sniff playing time on a tournament team.My thinking is - if the coaching and mismatched roster are the big issues, it should be possible to improve the coaching and get roster fits while not completely having to strip the roster for parts.
