Who do we want Baylor or Dayton?

Baylor just because they are more likely to help us improve our SOS/RPI/Quality win come tourney time. Not to say Dayton wouldn't be a solid win, but perception matters when it comes to humans making selections, not some super computer.

Baylor is the type of team that we steamroller in the NCAA's . Looks all badass on MSG but folds like a cheap napkin against a tough Eastern style Defense.
Dayton is the type of team that will drive us nuts all day long. We really suck against A-10 teams not named St Bonaventure. (perhaps that is why UConn drove us nuts?)
So pick your poison. What I say is we shouldn't we want Dayton? That matchup will help us the most come tournament time as they will point out our weaknesses and give us 3 months to fix them...Except we will be losing to a "lesser" team in the eyes of the great unwashed.
So, I say bring on Baylor, get the win and the SOS/RPI that comes with it.

I would assume that who ever wins will prove to be the tougher team- and will probably move up in the rankings, which are not just a top 25. We are already ranked #8 so all we have to do is keep winning and the rest will take care of itself.

Yikes Dayton really looks good. I don't know why but that Corey Price reminds me of what I hope Patterson becomes on defense. I worry that Dayton's guards will beat up Ennis, Cooney etc. Very physical and every Dayton player looks like they can put the ball on the floor and drive.

Baylor. For two reasons outlined above: [1] they are a ranked team from a major conference, and [2] they play in an exponentially less disciplined fashioned than Dayton.


On a related note, I remember when Isaiah Austin was a McD's AA / one and done candidate. Now it seems like he's been there forever, and it doesn't appear that he's improved much.

Drew is a cheater and represents a lot of what's wrong with college bball. Rooting for Baylor is like rooting for Coach Cal. I hope their program tanks as many games this year as possible.

We'll have enough top 25 wins in ACC.

I think by the end of the year Minn, Cal, and Dayton will be right around the top 25 and Baylor will be on the bubble of the NCAA tourney (So ranked around 35-40). Beating Baylor because of their rank may look better now, but at the end of the year Dayton will look like the better victory (If we beat them).
