Even with the "wrong" QB starting we still should have won if our CB doesn't get tackled in the open field by a 300 pound offensive tackle.

I believe in Coach Shafer for the long haul, regardless if he screwed up the QB call out of camp.

Or if we had an offense that could've taken advantage of the resulting field position and got us the 6 anyway, or if the kicker makes the fg and we're playing down 3 vs down 6 late, or if our qb didnt throw an out route to the db instead of a go route to the wr on the final drive, or if we ran jerome more in the 3rd quarter down 13-10 instead of insisting on using ptg or depending on the qb to make plays for us.

That W was lost on so many plays that day by so many different players. The fact that we still had a shot to win late is astounding.

1. My goals for the year are to make a bowl and haul in a top 50 recruiting class. If we can do that, I'll be happy and all will be forgiven.

2. I would also like to beat UMD, Pitt, and BC, and keep from getting embarrassed by FSU and Clemson. If we can do that and the stuff in point 1, then I am going to be ecstatic.

3. My goal next year is to be better in every way than we were this year.

I'm not pissed. Lots of new faces on this team and an entirely new coaching staff outside of Rob Moore and HCSS, who has a completely different role from past years. Playing Penn State and NW was a large challenge with these unknowns, and to be honest withsss youss I thought we should have won against Penn State had we experimented with different lineups (Hunt). How was the coaching staff to know Allen would not progress at that time? Yes, playing Hunt would have given some insight but that's in the past now. I'm just happy Terrel got a chance and he seems to be the QB we need on the field to give us the best chance of winning game with the remaining schedule.
