Who else loves the KJ dribble drives

Looking like A little Billy Owens last night.Smaller quicker more athletic but very hard to defend

Typical KJo game. I thought he was invisible the whole night only to discover that he's the leading scorer!

I am loving it. He didn't have that little shake and bake move last year. That little move allows him to stay under control better when he drives. Very nice to see.

I like it, though he can scrap the between-the-legs type stuff. He had a couple of great finishes yesterday.

I thought I saw JB yelling at him after one of the shake and bake moves. Not sure what it was about but I was wondering if JB thought it was too much. KJ definitely seemed to be sending a message to scouts with the deep threes and between the legs stuff.

As for being invisible and then being the leading scorer, I seem to remember the same thing happening a lot with Wes. Not saying KJ is at Wes' level, but I do think people complained about him not taking over games enough (other than maybe UNC).

I didn't think KrisJo played great. He had a few nice, soft finishes. In the big east the finger role crap isn't gonna work. NBA scouts want to see him take it strong to the goal.

I thought he played pretty well. He wasn't just throwing himself at the rim and hoping for a foul and I think that is the main point of the op. I have to rewatch the tape to see if JB was yelling at him. Maybe I missed something because I liked his controlled drives much better than last year.

I'll be interested in Joseph's dribble-drives after he demonstrates success with them against Big East -quality teams.

He's able to split a low-major defense and convert finger-rolls every season; he does it against better competition than that in practice six days a week.

True dat. The good thing is that he is working on his game and continuing to improve. Improved the shooting last year and thus far has improved his control on drives. Agree that time will tell if he can still do that against BE teams. I have always loved his attitude. Seems
like he is a pretty good kid.

Joseph had a decent game yesterday; I don't think we can rely on him knocking down 50% of his threes - we need him to drive. Still seemed like he was going half-speed out there a lot of the time.

What pleased me most was his reaction after he missed that late free throw. He hopped away from the line and seemed genuinely upset. He came back to the line and sank the second one. He gave away a ton of points at the line last year, all with a blank and unfocused look on his face. If he's taking it more seriously this year, good for all of us.
