Who Gets The Axe? Yukon or Toledo

Is it crazy to think that if Fran believes there’s a chance to make the playoff that we should keep the SOS strong and keep Toledo and UConn? I know it’s sort of playing with fire but it could mean quite a bit come the end of the year to have 10-2 record with 10 FBS wins versus others’ 9

The B1G did try it for a few years. If they go back to no FCS, I am sure you will see the other conferences eventually follow.

I don't think the B1G would do it at this point unless the SEC agreed to do it too.

But yes, those two would have to be the trendsetters, and then the ACC and Big 12 can follow.

Wildhack will do what the money says (and he should). If the money says keep the UNH and Toledo home games, then that's what we'll do.

I know we all think 2026 will be better, but weighing @ UConn vs home UNH as a SOS tiebreaker in the playoffs seems just a tad aspirational.

Having one team play one less conference game than everyone else is such a bad look. I know they don’t want to share any additional revenue but go ahead and add USF to get to 18 and call it a day. Between this and bending over for Notre Dame the ACC looks like chumps

There was a hybrid solution too

Build in a ghost opponent as Team 18 to make the math work for 9 conference games for all.

My Ghost Opponent: Notre Dame 5 games/Yukon 4 games

The ACC could bring Yukon in either as all sports but FB (4 FB games as a non conference member) or just a FB scheduling agreement

If you bring in Yukon with a ND agreement consider adding 1-3 more schools that don't have FBS FB to even up hoops. St. Johns, Nova and Georgetown are my possible choices.
