Who starts on the 4 wide and 2 back rotation?

Definitely feel Estime has to be a guy who is very involved in the offense. Probably our best deep threat with his speed.

Ishmael
Estime
Philips
???

Fredericks
Strickland

Where we putting Womack? Not just special teams, I hope?
Good Point. A poster reported he has good hands, good moves and 4.5 speed. If so, I can see him doing some damage as a receiver once he hits the secondary.

Honestly, I'm not sure anyone will benefit from this new offense as much as Lewis. I could see him catching 60 passes next year.

That would be great. I'm no expert but I'm not sure his H-back position this past year was the best use of Ben's abilities.

He was needed at the position. Kid is smart, blocks well, and besides the running was great imo.

Wr split ish and Lewis
Slot Bris and Strickland
Rb Fredericks and Phillips with gm2

Was about to post the exact same thing. I see him in that position where they split out very wide. He will be very dangerous in the quick game and seam routes. He will be a great blocker as well in this offense.

I would Assume Ish, Brisley, and Lewis will be 3 of the top 4 WRs.

A good bet JF is #1 or #2 at RB.

After that, question marks start appearing. It seems like (with the exception of Ish/Bris), our best play makers were bunched up at X-Back and RB. XB is going away, and there are only so many carries at RB (which will likely be had by the top 2 guys there).

1)Strickland, G Morris, Dante MF, Erv - All of them productive (to some degree), Strickland and Erv moreso than the remaining two.

a)Where do Erv and Strickland project under the new O? RB or WR?
b)Does Strickland or Dante MF move to safety?
c)Where does Moe Neal project? Does he redshirt?

2)Is this a chance for Custis and Enoicy to finally showcase their raw physical ability? Will they continue to ride the pine, and get passed by, by new recruits?

3)Not a big fan of Cornelius (demonstrated some truly questionable hands this season) or Avant, but where do they figure in...if at all?

Just had to look up Ben Lewis stats from his senior year: 51 catches for 876 yards and 12 touchdowns, would like to see that out of him next year (I know he will probably hit that game 6-7)

Am I mis calculating something here? You can't play 4 wr's and 2 rb's unless you arent playing a QB.
Th BG 2 deep lists 4 WR and 1 RB. We are talking about the 2 deep here. Since they use formations with 4 WR's often, they list it that way.

Season records will be in jeopardy by week 8 ... Or week 6 depending on Colgate game

Don't set yourself up for disappointment if you don't see instant success. Babers has said repeatedly that things won't work as planned until the second half of season 2. I follow another team that went no huddle and it was disastrous in the beginning because of lack of conditioning. It is a huge adjustment physically. When players experience that faster pace for an entire game they will get winded and make mental mistakes at ends of games purely out of exhaustion. Don't be surprised if we only win 4 games next year and get off to a slow start the following year. It's to be expected and nothing to be alarmed about.

As I mentioned, BG lists their two deep with 4 WRs so that it what I will do here.

X Cornelius | Custis
Brisly | Womack
Y Lewis | Phillips
Z Ishmael | New Recruit

RB Fredericks | Neal

Stricklan, Morris, MacFarlane, and others ???

I think Babers is going to see Morris on special teams and get ideas about him on D. IMO

Only issue I would have with that is giving AC a spot above Strickland. I have no idea where Strickland will fit in, but the kid is a big time play maker that needs to get the ball. AC? Not so much.

Baber rotates two backs usually. He like a power guy and a change of pace quick guy, thus the thunder and lightning. Watch the MAC championship game or even watch Baylor play.

I see Lewis and Cornelius filling the same spot to be honest. Swap Cornelius to the backup for Ben Lewis, maybe? Not sure. But they're both possession guys from what I've seen of them both.

gotcha. I guess the "who starts" got me a bit out of whack.

Ish/?
Estime/Avant
Phillips/Neal
Lewis/ Custis

Fredericks

Strickland, Morris, McFarlane - position switches
Strickland to starting safety

Estime has questionable hands in my opinion. His route running and pursuit of the ball was not good at time. He is a great returner.

Just need him to be the bubble (I know using that word is right up their with ri vals and s cout around here) guy. Get him the ball quickly in space and let him use his return skills.

He converted a W.R. to RB last year and played him alot

Obviously, you need more than one RB on the depth chart. I can see both Strickland and Perkins backing up JF.

BTW, if you've watched BGSU play I'm sure you noticed RB Travis Greene. He's listed at 5'10" and 189lbs. His running style reminds me a lot of Erv Phillips who is listed at 5'11" and 181lbs. With 10-15 additional pounds of muscle, I could see Erv at RB also.
