Who was the best Hollywood actor of the 1960's?

For Your Consideration: Sidney Poitier

A Raisin in the Sun
Paris Blues
Pressure Point
Lillies of the Field (Oscar winner)
The Slender Thread
A Patch of Blue
Duel at Diablo
To Sir, With Love
In the Heat of the Night
Guess Who’s Coming for Dinner?

And many, many more.
RIP. Hard to believe he was never nominated for an Academy Award after he won in 1964.

Good choice. Very good choice.

my favorite role for him was in Sneakers another overlooked movie with a pretty solid cast..

My wife and daughters loved To Sir, With Love. they'd watch it any time it was on.

The song drove me nuts.

He was a perception changer for a lot of white folks back then. An important cultural figure as well as a solid actor.
