Who would you rather play for

If my son wanted to play D1 football I would try to convince him to attend Syracuse University. The reason is Dino Babers and his staff. I wish that I had the opportunity to play for him because I would tell him that I would run through walls to make him happy.

Just take a moment and think what Dino has told us over the last three years. Everything that he's told us has happened. How can you not want to play for a coach that has leadership written on his forehead.

It would be easy to percieve Dabo's "family atmosphere" style as soft compared Saban's. I wouldn't buy that for a second. You don't win the way they have been winning with a soft undisciplined team.

With the what we see on the surface, the answer is easy, Dabo. What we don't know is what Saban is like bwhind the scenes. Is he a d**k to the media but a father figure to the players?

The Windsor valences are a nice touch...

Dabo and the fun family atmosphere or the Alabama Saban machine like program

I noticed on the walk to the coin toss. Clemson's players were smiling and looked happy to be there. Alabama's had their helmets on and looked all business. Both teams are immensely successful, but Dabo seems like he'd be a lot of fun to play for.

And while Alabama isn't going anywhere, the veneer was scraped off. I don't think they're going to win games before they leave the locker room against the good teams on their schedule. LSU, A&M and Auburn will all be good next year. I bet they are all excited to take it to Bama next year.

Edit: obviously I'd rather play for Dino. Though I think he and Dabo are cut from the same cloth.

I noticed the helmet thing too. It’s more of a respect thing for me where you meet your opponent with helmet off. Bama does not impress me in that department

I’d rather play for the guy who is probably the best coach to ever coach the game, whose also won as many NCs as any other modern coach, including titles at 2 different schools.

In short, I’d rather play for the former Syracuse position coach.

I would go Dabo in a heart beat. What college team did Saban save from the brink of crapsville. None. MSU wasn’t bad when he went there, LSU was still top 20 when he did what he did and Alabama is a team unshould win at no matter what. Baffles me. He is good but Dabo started with crap and made a champion.

LSU was 4-7 and 3-8 the two seasons before Saban got there. Clemson was 9-4 and 7-6 the two years before Dabo's first full season.

Ohhh still would rather play for Dabo. Thanks for the info though. Sometimes I get lazy. Dabo and Dino are two peas in a pod.

Neither. I wouldn't go to SC or Alabama unless I was getting paid a ton of $$$. Wait a sec...
Why not?

Clemson's campus is gorgeous and their player dorms are luxury apartments on Lake Hartwell. Atlanta is 90 minutes away and Greenville, about 25.

Weather is awesome. Three months of cold per year and even then, there's strings of 60-70 degree days mixed in.
