As I look at this list of "top" prospects, I'm struck by how many unfinished players who have glaring holes in their games make the very top of the lottery this year.

A kid with a total of 3 games played in the college is a Top 3 pick, and might be No.1. The other choice for #1 is the latest Ball kid, whose game sounds a lot like that of his older brother. A guard who can't shoot is the number one pick?

Most of them, in fact, lack some of the most basic skills necessary for their position. I can't remember a worse looking group of "stars" to spend my draft pick on. That's why so many foreigners feature this year.

Ball is very tall (6'8) for his position (PG) and is a much better passer and game manager than his brother was at that age. His skills, size and potential make him deserving. The fact that his shot is not there yet is less of a concern. Wiseman's potential is through the roof. Elite size and athleticism with a nice shooting touch, and a great rim runner. No real holes in his young game. Also deserving, along with Edwards. There are only 3 guys deserving of top consideration this year. The next 20-30 guys are about equal risks, IMO. Let,'s not forget that most picks are based on potential, not as finished products.

There are all-stars in every draft, regardless of how deep it appears. The trick is identifying them and developing them.

As the college game deteriorates, it only makes sense that the top of the draft reflects the decline of the college game, and the readiness of players to go pro. That's why this mock draft has almost half of the first round made up of foreigners.

Not sure where you are getting half of the draft is non NCAA based. The NBC Mock Draft and the NBA.com mock draft I just looked at has
23 NCAA players
2 Americans playing in Australia
5 European Club Players

That's not that unusual a breakdown.

I haven’t seen Ball play but everything I read about him makes me think of Michael Carter-Williams.

I guess it seemed like more as I was reading it.

I didn't follow the NCAA much in 2019/2020 (or first round candidates). Many of the names that were in the mocks, I really haven't heard much about and had to look at who they played for to confirm they were actually NCAA players. This lack of recognizable players could certainly lead one to think it is more foreign heavy,

I didn't get TV packages in the past year, so I am not sure if I have ever seen players like Haliburton play.

I agree. I didn't recognize most of the names on the list, and was surprised that so many established ACC stars were anywhere from 40-80 on their "Big Board".

I really like Haliburton from Iowa State and want him on the knicks. People are sleeping on our boy Precious Achiuwa, he had a great season at Memphis
