Why did Tomaselli contact Davis before talking to police?

And why did ESPN facilitate that exchange? What did they talk about? Did Davis instruct Tomaselli about the interior of the Fine household? Why were the feds digging up the backyard? Would Bernie bury evidence in his yard? Or maybe someone planted some incriminating evidence unbeknownst to Bernie.

Obviously the Fine's are a shady couple and I certainly want to give the accusers the benefit of the doubt but there are some serious questions about all involved.

Mark Schwarz is in it up to his arse. ESPN shouldn't be making the news just reporting it.

I'm not suggesting that this means that Tomaselli wasn't abused, but this is certainly an odd factor in him coming forward.

It just seems mighty odd to me that Tomaselli would seek out Davis before making his statement to police. He didn't know Davis. I'm sure Davis was off the grid at that point with all access being controlled by ESPN. So, Schwarz obviously made that connection. Was it careless or intentional that separate accuser were brought together before the police could get an untainted statement.

The Pittsburgh Police are taking Tomaselli seriously. Hopefully they have access to plenty of game tape and can prove one way or the other that he was at that game.

For me to say that this might have been the most bizarre piece of this entire story is saying something. He was posting all over the place, fighting with people, screaming from the mountaintops how BF and his father molested him and how he wanted to save kids (meanwhile he molested some kid too) then that random girl defended him cursing and invoking God at the same time, calling everyone child rapists. lol unreal.

And yet, that seems to have been the tipping point. This kid coming out was a major factor in getting the search warrant. Would make me seriously question our legal system if we're are basing search warrants on highly questionable accusations...

There is absolutely no reason on Earth why Tomaselli should ever, ever, ever be speaking with Davis. Not one. If Schwarz did indeed put the two in contact with each other, he is in danger of tampering in a criminal case.

It leads one to believe that his story is even less credible; that, along with the fact that his dad denies his story and the fact that he's currently being investigated for child molestation himself.

So let me see... Tomaselli is currently being charged with child molestation. Then sees Bernie Fine allegations on the news, and he is from Upstate NY. What better way to present yourself as a victim at the trial and get a lesser sentence than to jump on the Fine bandwagon.

"Your honor my client was abused by Fine and could not stop the cycle of abuse. We request a reduced sentence as my client himself is a victim in all this."

Seriously this guy's dad is denying that Tomaselli ever went on any Syracuse trips or hanged out with Bernie. Another What storyline in all this.

Notice how he blames his own legal issues on the molestation by fine and his father, left him with no sense of boundaries.

On another note, if his father was molesting him, would he so easily have let his kid go off on his own for overnight stay. I would think the typical molester keeps complete control over their victims...

If some computer gurus that work for the Feds (Secret Service and such) get a hold of that database, it could spell serious trouble for Schwarz.

It wouldn't surprise me if they issue a warrant to Facebook for the OTL account history. Somebody HAS to investigate this. This is HUGE...Billy Facillo HUGE information!!!

I'm curious to see if LemoyneCuse weighs in on this, since he was defending Schwartz initially but started questioning some of his actions this week. Getting a possible witness that hasn't talked to the police yet in touch with another alleged victim may not be tampering...but it's incredibly stupid and unethical.

Just playing devil's advocate here:

* Tomaselli may have indicated he was wavering in his interest in coming forward with allegations. Maybe Schwartz put him in touch with Davis in order to give him some support for coming forward?

* Also, Tomaselli's father may have molested him and is terrified that that information will go public (too late) and is trying to discredit his son before this gets too big.

Just grasping at straws here, I get a little tired of the lynch mob mentality after a few days of this crap (and more crap to come today I am sure.) I hate seeing Syracuse getting hammered like this but I also don't want to look like we don't realize there is a strong possibility that there is no conspiracy afoot.

Because I was reading the fb page when all this went down and he seemed like a complete mess just trying to get attention. Said he contacted Schwarz who put him in contact with Davis, which just sounded crazy. Nothing about him seemed credible for a second, and then I see a few days later hes made the news.

It really shouldn't be too difficult to determine if Tomaselli is telling the truth. He says he was 10-15 rows behind the SU bench for both games: @ Pitt in 2002 and vs. Pitt in 2003. Tomaselli's dad says they never went to a game at Pitt and they were "in the nosebleed section" at the Carrier Dome in 2003.

Hell, anyone here with a tape of either game can probably see him in the stands if what he says is true.
