Why do people prefer the gameday thread to the Chat Room?

Honestly the chat room is hard on the phone. Gives me a headache.

I participate in the game thread. I get distracted while the game is going on, the thread is easier to catch up on reading until I am caught up again.
While chat has more direct interchange, chats I have been on are always jumping, so no way to catch anything that was said earlier. Yes, once in a while I get a like long after the actual game, so someone must be reading them.

I frequently watch the games at another time and follow along in the game thread. And often give out a like or two.
