FSU plays at NCS who is undefeated and drops while on their resume they have beat Oklahoma St (only loss), Clemson (without their qb) and NCS? IMO Oklahoma and Oregon are the two best teams but still resume wise FSU has won their games while Bama jumps them playing WV, Florida Atlantic, Southern Miss and Florida? Oklahoma beat WV at WV while Bama beat WV at a neutral site and let's not forget OU beat Bama in a bowl game last year. There are a lot of solid teams this year plus a lot of football to be played and having a playoff is going to be a very good thing but it is going to be interesting to see how the "committee" breaks this down.

FWIW....Baylor has a SOS of 127th out of 128 and I think Michigan St. has theirs SOS rated at 112 and they even played Oregon which beat them. Briles even said he is not going to change a thing in the future.

The polls are meaningless and have no impact on anything (except for fans).
If you have watched Florida State this year, they are clearly not playing as well as last year. Instead of being completely dominant, they have shown that they can be beat (against an average team no less). They do not look like the #1 team in the country. The undefeated team (NC State) has played NO ONE of any significance. I mean, come on, they beat Ga. Southern (by just one point), Old Dominion, South Florida and mighty Presbyterian. Yet, they had FSU on the ropes.
If there is any conspiracy, it's probably due to the fact that people have likely become so tired of Winston... what a moron.

Why is FSU compared to last year when it isn't last year? Arkansas has beat no one and was 2-1 and that game went to OT but A&M is still where they were.
OU and Oregon should be 1 and 2 imo and the polls do matter Nicknack because they are included in the analysis for the final 4. The SEC west should be fun to watch as it breaks down because it ought to be a fun battle.

Why not compare them to last year ... I mean you said OU beat Bama last year .. ranking teams is a very very tough thing to do. Do I agree with them? Not very often but ... this just feeds into the idea that all these voters look at this stuff using their own criteria and none shall the two meet ...
