Watching this Oregon-Utah game and the 4th down stuff by Oregon.
Doesn’t it make sense to spread the defense out instead of allowing the opponent to stack the box.
I get good OLs will get push but the defense knows to play low leverage and it’s harder to get push.

I don’t get why teams don’t go 3 or 4 WR in these short yardage situations and give the RBs less people around the LOS.

Millhouse has been saying this for years.

With less than a yard to go, a quick snap QB sneak works 100% of the time.

Utah goes spread on this 3rd and 1 and convert easily.
Good to see teams can adjust.

if you spread and run wildcat and the RB is never going to throw, the teams just crash the party. but if we ran the wildcat more on 2nd and 2 you might get a few shots at a TE release play and most any RB can make that throw and run if its covered.

When you go spread, aren't you opening up the line's splits, making it easier for the LBs to fill the holes while being unblocked?

Because the whole stupid savage sport is brain damaged and ex players think air is better at tackling than 350 lb strongmen
