Espn has been aware of this story for years. Certainly, the Penn state situation makes this a good time to bring this out but so does television sweeps. Advertising money is determined by viewers and sweeps determine how many you have. I guarantee this story has increased ratings and not co-incidentally I believe sweeps end on Wednesday. Don't be surprised to see espn back of after that.
