- Because we are a mediocre team and mediocre teams win some and lose some. They encourage you with a win and then discourage you with a loss. It’s our turn to lose. Of course, Georgia Tech is mediocre, too. They’ve lost three in a row, which sounds encouraging. But that means they're due to win, right?

- Their three straight losses were to Virginia tech, Miami and BYU. Those teams are better than we are. If we’d played them, we’d have lost three in a row, too.

- We are very impressed with our running game, which is averaging 220 yards per game. We are about to play a team that is averaging 290 yards a game.

- If you haven’t played the triple option before, you are at a severe handicap. If you normally play aggressive, meet sat the quarterback defense as Shafer and Chuck Bullough like to do, you are in deep trouble. That’s what the TO is built to take advantage of. Tech can burn us with the run when we don’t’ stay in our lanes or with the pass when we creep up to the line of scrimmage. And you k now how bad our pass defense is under normal circumstances.

- The Loss of Dyshawn Davis and Keon Lyn could really hurt us here as linebackers and cornerbacks really get tested against this offense. It’s not that their replacements, Josh Kirkland and Julian Whigham are bad. But everybody alternates players except at quarterback these days. Who replaces Kirkland and Whigham in their former roles?

- Shafer is scared to death of those “cut” blocks. Not only can they take our defenders out of a play. They can take them out of the game- or the season. We go in without Davis and Lyn. Who will be without for the second half, the fourth quarter? The Wake Forest game?

- We’ve proven we can run the ball. We’ve also proven we can’t pass. Here comes 9 in the box.

- Shafer doesn’t want to use the Salt Badger returning kicks, even tho0ugh he’s great at it. He wants him to concentrate on offense. But will we use him on offense? And Tech has one of the premiere kick and punt returners in the country in Jamal Golden. If there’s a big kick return in this game, the Jackets will likely get it, not us.

- We overcome a bad history against NC State to win. Can we do it here. We are 0-2 against these guys and I think you remember what happened last time. A team that had averaged 19 points a game went right through us for a 14-51 debacle that cost Coach P his job. Ugh.

Losing Coach P was no bad thing, maybe they can do us a solid again.

I should have stopped after reading the flip-side post. Ying and yang.
