I go back to the 70,s one of my favorite all time teams is the 79 team and they didn't have any home games, I watch or actually prefer to listen to the games on the radio to be honest. I buy the hats and shirts and I post here occasionally although I check in almost daily and follow recruiting closely. I have had seaon tickets and found I really didn't go to that many games and many times I couldn't give the tickets away.

So why I don't go? Well to be honest I would much rather listen to the game much like a Yankee game. I can do other things while I'm listening. If I had my choice I would pick on the radio 60 percent, watching the game unless with friends at 30 percent and going to the games 10 percent.
I don't have a problem with paying for tickets, I don't have a problem with the teams performance, I don't have a problem with traffic or walking or any of those things I just like to listen to the game while I do other things.

Am I a diehard, well I never miss listening to a game or watching with friends or going to a game I'm a veteran and am going to use that to setup tickets to hopefully Clemson to give my niece a new experience. Am I A bad fan? WELL it depends on what your opinion of a bad fan is if you judge that by going to games well I guess I am. If you judge it by following the news on the team, listening to games, hanging out and refreshing by the minute when a big recruit decision is imminent then maybe I am a good fan.

The bottom line is I choose to follow the team like I wanna follow the team and listening is my preference. That's what I like good fan, bad fan or however you want to call that, that's how I role.

Any fanbase is going to include the whole spectrum of fans - the TV watchers, the casual fans, the apparel buyers, the water cooler pundits, etc. These are legitimate parts of SU fandom. But the crying need right now is for the on-site participant level of fans. These are the ones who make the game day effort to create an atmosphere and cheer the team to victory. When we're getting a steady 40,000+ fans live at the Dome there'll be no need to carp at the others to step it up.
