Why is Syracuse playing soldier instead of football?

Exactly. Ive had to go to Lewiston( end of the freaking state) , Darien lake, SPAC and CMAC for shows this year that ALL would have come to the amphitheatre. Its time to start bringing concert-goers' money to the Syracuse area on a regular basis. Im in Bville so i can practically ride my bike to the venue. I almost went to Van Halen last night but my buddy bailed last minute on me...almost went alone sadly haha. I didnt feel like the drive home late after the concert by myself though cause its too hard to stay awake.

You missed a good show, Kenny Wayne Shepard was worth the admission. Watching Eddie Van Halen play in person, holy smokes, what a show. David Lee Roth was okay, doesn't have the pipes to carry it anymore but he puts on a good visual show. If anything they could have used a few more back up singers to get him through it but for sure there was no autotune or lip syncing. I can't wait until next year to see what acts come here.

Trust me..i was at the 690 thruway exit alone in my car contemplating the trek to Darien and turned around last second. I think the Hershey Park cancellation was so Roth could rest the pipes a little before the 2nd leg of the tour...im sad i missed it.

next year we won't have to travel so far. The drive home did suck, 123 mile trek each way
