the appeal of the big 10 network has to come from insane valuations of their network
why is their network worth so much more than other potential networks?
does the big 10 have some special technical competitive advantage in setting up a network that other conferences can't match?
what's stopping 2 conferences from setting up their own network together? 2 conferences, one channel.
none of this makes any sense. without seeing the numbers, i think schools are very carried away about the value of the BTN and very pessimistic about the value of conference networks that haven't started yet
