WHY IS WILSON THE QB???

You've gotta be kidding me? The first QB I've ever seen that they picked up 2 intentional grounding flags because there was no pressure.

Actually they didn't call those did they? Let's add it was the kids first action in 2 years and AT #2 Clemson. I'm not saying the kid is the best but he did some decent things out there. This isn't a play station game. Let's add that Dungy looked a bit rattled as well in the beginning and he's played for almost 2 years and has been in 8 games in Barbers system. It is not Wilson's fault that he was the first choice out after the Dungey injury, it was the staff that recruited that position. Did Wilson looked scared out there...absolutely. He is the best passer on the team that isn't injured or being redshirted.

If the line was better/not hurt/more experienced Wilson could be serviceable. Mahoney plays and the system has to change/adapt. Maybe this will light a fire for the O-line. They HAVE to protect Wilson unlike Dungey who can move. Athletes are funny sometimes mentally when things like this happen.

I don't know. I don't think either are accurate enough honestly. Wilson has always poor choices under duress.

I agree. If Dungey is out Wilson is the choice and hopefully the mistakes will go down.

I feel Dino played Austin hoping he would be better in game situations, then what he has seen in practice. He wasn't, and if Eric can't go, the only chance of winning any games is with Mahoney. Eric makes plays, AJ, and Jake, beat out Austin because they could make plays, with our offense as it presently is we need a QB who can make plays, and that's not Austin.

I'm not sure I know what you mean . I was just making the point that the QB at BGU last year didn't run much and just made 1 read and fired away .

The difference is that the fat pirate was an accurate QB with field presence that could extend plays. Pretty efficient too.

He may not have created a QB controversy but wasn't Dungey a #2QB who came in for Hunt, lit it up and became the starter without throwing 7 INT's?

I watched Spring practice as well as Fall scrimmage and practice, Dungey was the better QB to start with. Can't have a controversy when the starter's career is over and #2 takes over.

I said we didn't have a controversy. We did, however, have a #2 who was ready to take over. I know, in your mind he should have been #1 anyway but the fact is, he wasn't.
