I think the sole reason that JB played JBA is because JBA is much more familiar with cuse's zone defense--where to be, when to move, and who to cover. JB almost always goes with experience (see JGIII).
Actually I hadnt but that's the way JB rolls...for better or worse...No fair.
You watched the press conference.
That's cheating.
What’s amazing is that he led the team in assists with 4.Defensive miscue and not rebounding in traffic.
Never in my life would I have expected to see JBA play so many minutes.
we have a glue guy. glue factory guy i mean. someone had to say it.It’s almost like Jim knows that Brown “gets it” and knows he can get 6/6/3 from him in 20 minutes whenever he needs. But also that every minute from Brown is taking away another developmental minute from Bell, Benny or Justin and he chooses the latter.
This does not make sense though and contradicts Jim’s you play to win the game mentality, so this can’t be it.
Every team needs a glue guy and that clearly can be Brown this season. Just don’t get it.
I don’t think Jesse has ever made more than two shots beyond eight feet. Why would you want him taking foul line jumpers?I was surprised when they switched to zone that JBA was mainly the high post. Would have liked to seen Jesse at the high and JBA battling down low. Think Jesse could have stroked that shot or been able to pass more efficiently to the open guy.
He's a ~70% FT shooter ... it's not that different.I don’t think Jesse has ever made more than two shots beyond eight feet. Why would you want him taking foul line jumpers?
Yeah, he can work from the high post better than JBA. I’d rather JBA doing the bodying down low and Jesse having the ability to finesse up top. If you look back, the opportunities were more in the 6-8’ range, not even 10’.I don’t think Jesse has ever made more than two shots beyond eight feet. Why would you want him taking foul line jumpers?
I agree on JBA - how do we know he knows the zone - he is all over the place and was late on at least 2 rotations. He's a ~70% FT shooter ... it's not that different.
JBA doesn't know the zone - he was all over the place and consistently late on rotations. Boeheim says things.
I suspect JBA gets more time playing man to man in practice when the 2nd team plays the defense of the opposition against the starters for the upcoming games.I agree on JBA - how do we know he knows the zone - he is all over the place and was late on at least 2 rotations.
Seriously...He's a ~70% FT shooter ... it's not that different.
