- Because Armando Bacot will win his duel with Jesse Edwards by out-muscling him and getting him in foul trouble.

- Because Leaky Black, who frustrated 6-6 Buddy Boeheim so much, will be the 6-1 Joe Girard. And the 6-9 Black can keep up with him.

- Unless they don't even need to put Black on Joe because RJ Davis and Caleb Love are simply better than Judah Mintz and Joe Girard.

- There's no point in pressing the Heels- they love to run. You've got to slow them down.

- And the key to that is rebounding. And with Benny and Chris starting, we've got no chance on the boards.

- Maybe Black will be schooling Maliq Brown instead of making Joe Girard disappear.

- They are only hitting 31.6% of their outside shots and will be going up against the famed Syracuse 2-3 zone. Except the zone is pretty much a myth these days, probably belonging in the rafters with #44. Everybody finds three-point shots against us and even if they don't shoot a high percentage, they will still get enough to give us a deficit there.

- It's just a terrible match-up for SU, as it has normally been since we joined the ACC. We need tier one wins but this won't be one.

I'll just point out that, yes, one of the reasons to go to the press is to speed up the other team
but another reason is to speed up your own guys with respect to how they are playing defense.

In the press, you are intentionally trying to put pressure on your guy, to try to take the ball away
from him or force him into turning the ball over with his passes. Boeheim's Zone has always been
its most effective when his players execute it with that level of intensity. It's one thing to cover your
area in the zone with a "wait & see how your guy will try to beat you" but quite another when you
are intentionally trying to make him feel pressured into making a bad pass or rush a shot.

It can make all the difference in the world...

We need to run back on D. Freshman who haven't experienced it need to be ready for it

May be a terrible match-up-
But the normal fast pace and high scoring has resulting in some entertaining games!

Maybe aggressive trapping in the zone would do the trick.
