Who is to say Triche and Scoop starting means we will go on slow starts???
Early in the year Fab and Scoop weren't getting it done offensively now they are.
Its more logical to switch the starting spot to Southerland, Fair, and Rak depending who the matchup is rather then taking away our dribbling guard off the bench. But at the same time its crucial to getting Rak time right now for march. I could see Jim going to the best player for that game come march though once Rak has had his chances all year.
That way we keep our killer dribbling penetration for when we need it. We still have two shooters at Forward in KJO, Southerland and Triche.
I agree Scoop and Triche came out looking lathargic especially on the defenisve end.
Triche is just so mental sometimes and he leaves his reflexes outside of the arena. Would love to see him work on nothing but reflexes defense shooting touch while knowing the plays being called. It could work wonders with him. His reflexes were light years better last game.
I don't know what is up with Scoop and Triches defensive starts sometimes.
I think alot of our slow starts is about not knowing what guards we are going to have down the stretch and which guard is going to have to play out the first half if one gets two fouls.
I have a feeling those slow starts from our guards will change if MCW can prove he can play point without turning the ball over and running a efficeient scoring offense.
Sorry for those who took the time to lock the other thread. I just felt the points above got missed in the discussion.
