- We found out what we needed to know against Purdue. We can be a good team, maybe a very good team but we’re no juggernaut. We have a strong coaching staff. We’ll continue to do the things that have worked and we’ll get better at the things that didn’t. It’s liberating not to have illusions.

- Virginia’s sole game against a power five opponent was not pretty: Illinois sat on them, 24-3, outgaining the Cavs 394-222. They rushed for 42 yards in 29 attempts. Brennan Armstrong had virtually the same passing stats as Garrett Shrader vs. Purdue: 13 for 34 for 180 yards. Except he didn’t throw a touchdown pass and did throw two interceptions. Armstrong had 2 TD passes and 3 interceptions on the season. Garret Shrader is 8-0,

- Virginia has had three turnovers in each game. We’ve forced 6 and, (everybody make a fist and hit your head), knock on wood, we have yet to commit one.

- Virginia has some of the personnel who produced the big numbers last year. But they don’t have Anae and Beck, (who can also give us great scouting reports) and they don’t have any of last year’s linemen. We’ve been there. This Virginia team looks a lot like those SU teams that could never put a solid offensive line together. Our defense should tear them apart.

- It’s time for Sean Tucker to have that big game we’ve been waiting for. We’ve been tinkering with ways to free him up, despite the absence of his protector, Chris Elmore. It’s time to see the results of that experiment. Purdue has the 29th best rushing defense in the country. Virginia is #81.

3-0 and 9+ to go!

LET’S GO ORANGE!!!

AND last week Shrader was just getting over an "illness". And maybe some of the other players from what is sounds like.
