- Because we are back to being Syracuse and they are back to being Wake Forest. In the Bizzaro World of 2006 we had G-Rob coaching out team while Wake, one of college football’s perennial dormats, beat Florida State 30-0 in Tallahasse, won the ACC and wound up in the Orange Bowl. This is not 2006. We will beat them like Syracuse should beat Wake Forest.
- They gave up 36 points a game last year., losing games by scores like 24-68, 21-52 and 14-62. With a more confident Ryan Nassib throwing to healthy and talent receivers, a veteran line and Ant Bailey and Adonis Moore, we could do a number like that tomorrow.
- Our defense is young but they almost swallowed our offense whole in the spring game. They are going to shock a lot of teams with their speed and pursuit. That Wake Forest line is big but they were problem area for the team last year. This is going to look like a bunch of beetles vs. army ants.
- Speed translates to special teams, too. We are do for some kick returns and some blocks. We are also due for some defensive turnovers- the one thing Scott Shafer’s units have not done so far. Aggression creates turnovers and I think it will be our turn to get a lot of them this year. We are going to make some big, game0chainging plays.
- This team gained a lot of confidence last year and they will play with it this year. The fans need to show some confidence in them.
0-0 and 12+ to go!
LET’S GO ORANGE!!!
