- If a healthy Syracuse team played Elon, Troy, Kansas and Tulane, then Miami, Georgia Tech, Virginia and Pittsburgh, with two byes, I don’t know what our record would be but it would be a lot closer to their 7-1 than our 3-6.
- And if Duke had played Villanova, Central Michigan, Maryland, Notre Dame, Louisville, Florida State, Wake Forest, Clemson and NC State, I think their record would be better than 3-6 but not a lot better.
- Duke, against their schedule, has given up more yards, (422.0/game vs. 422.5) than they have gained. They are #57 in offense and #80 in defense. Does that scare you? We are #93 in offense but #38 on defense against a much tougher schedule.
- And that defense will keep us in the game, just as they have done every time out this year.
- Of the quarterbacks we have used this year, Austin Wilson is the one I liked the best. He ahs an NFL arm and is a big, strong kid, unlike the quick but small long. Austin’s passes won’t get knocked down and he can stretch the field.
- Jarrod West will continue to have a strong senior year with 40 catches for 610 yards. It’s amazing that he has yet to catch a touchdown pass. Tomorrow he’ll break the end zone ice. .
- Prince-Tyson Gulley and Adonis Ameen-Moore, our hyphenated backfield, who have gained 851 yards on 163 carries, (5.2), will end their Dome careers with big games.
- We are way over-due for a game where we make the plays we need to win and the ball bounces our way.
- Once a year, we rise up and blow a ranked team out of the Dome. This is the game!
3-6 with 3+ to go…..
LET’S GO ORANGE!!!
