to replace Shafer with a fan base that we have ......we have no patience and would turn on him in a heartbeat...we turned on coach P ...we turned on Robinson(deservedly) ...we turned on Marrone...and now we're turning on Shafer....maybe we're getting what we deserve as a fan base...

Let me understand - if a coach, who is paid 7 figures per year doesn't get the job done over a multiple year period, loses support with the fan base that is "turning on" him? Just what is your criteria - blind loyalty? No circumstances for loss of support? Perhaps you have noticed how coaches leave for more money?

I'm telling you if a coach came here and had a winning percentage of .65 and stayed for awhile he would be treated like bill belichick. I think there is a flip side to that as well

If I were a coach I would be worried about wins and losses, not the fan base. The latter will come from the former.

the fan base? seriously? the day after the basketball home opener that brings 20k+, we face clemson and are sure to get waxed, yet somewhere in the neighborhood of 30+k show up for it? there is no college program blessed with this fan base. the fans are as good as it gets, I am done with posters acting like the fans are somehow a problem.

The fact that Shafer had this much support with his record up until the Louisville game is testament to a pretty patient fan base, particularly for one in a P5 league.
