Can not agree with this statement more. I think insiders have pointed out who the next AD in waiting is, and I don't think it's a good move.

Well how long before Fran leaves, a new AD might be a problem, this could end up blowing up the entire Athletic Department.
Poor timing with this, but the way things have gone the last 20 years not surprising.

Oh that would be super interesting because in Wildhack interview with Orange Nation on ESPN Syracuse today he mentioned that his contract actually expired this past July and was able to get a one year extension granted to him by the administration. It makes you wonder if Syverud wanted Lyke hired as the actual AD last July and if Wildhack staying an extra year actually led to us dodging her from taking over full time regardless if Syverud was extended or not.

Will Wade was hired March 22nd. Anything later than that and you’re putting the new guy behind on roster construction.

The new guy will know he is the guy long before mid March and will be working on the roster, staff and NIL long before SU announces anything official. The hire and the timing of the announcement will not coincide. That should be "fun" for the Board.
