Will Clemson game be a sell out?

Miami (OH) in 1980 was 50,564. SU had 3 games over 50,000 that year.

PSU in 1981, 1983, and 1985 all drew over 50,000.

PSU in 1987 was 50,011. WV was 49,886.

Miami in 1992 was 49,857.

Tennessee in 1998 was 49,550. Miami was 49,521.

Notre Dame in 2003 was 48,170.

Between the addition of extra handicap viewing areas and extra private boxes, we'll never hold 50,000+ again.

Anything over 49,000 is good.

I was there for that, do not remind me of that game...
I was sitting in a section close to the offensive coordinators box or playcalling box... SU fans were throwing beers and hotdogs at it.

I've never been more proud to be an SU fan. It'd be worth it to throw an overpriced chillidog at those fools.

Clemson should also bring a decent amount of fans. Maybe not at much as WVU but more than the pathetic numbers that came from storz and rutgers.

the first time Clemson went to BC, they went with 42,000 fans, It is going to be a tough ticket, get them now

During that 2005 WVU game they brought atleast 1.5-2k fans for that game when we had around 45k. I think with homecoming, first ACC game, most likely top 10 team, night game, and a Heisman trophy contender opponent I think the crowd will be huge and should atleast surpass the WVU game in 2005.

Are you saying Clemson had 42,000 fans at BC? Color me skeptical.

Yeah, that's completely impossible.

it was an estimate from a clemson alumni at the game, he claims 70% of crowd in orange and more tailgating. we will find out this fall

well, i don't doubt 70% were Clemson fans but 70% of a BC crowd is about 18K.

Hank, Alumni Stadium only holds 44,500, and if you look at a picture from the game it doesn't look overwhelmingly Clemson.

How may sellouts have we ever had? 1 or 2?
I've talked about to people up at SU aboput the no Sell Outs and that is totally misleading. They have announced that there were no tickets remaining for games in the Dome multiple times in the late 80s and 90s. Visiting teams return tickets or the students dont use allotment, or there are scattered singles and its not official sell out. If you have been in the dome for Miami, Michigan , Tennesee, Florida, ect ... you know there were absolutely no open space. ( Add Penn State, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Texas, )

70% of the crowd were people who were going to the Red Sox game but got off at the wrong T stop. That and about 13 Superfans.

it seemed like every Big East game in the 80's and early 90's was sold out. More importantly they sounded like a sell out. Nothing is more fun when the Loud House decibel level reaches that of a jet engine

There isn't a hotel room available as far away as Utica.

It won't happen. Notre Dame, Texas, Miami, Va Tech, Ohio State, Tennessee, Michigan, Florida State or Penn State couldn't make it sell out. The only time the Dome sold out was September 20, 1980. Miami of Ohio!

Great. That tells me that I should be able to sell my tickets to that game for a decent chunk of change. My niece decided that it would be a great weekend to get married. I suppose I still have enough time to make a scene and get uninvited.

Will be there and used Priceline.com to get a room at the Hotel Skylar near Marshall Street. Dome will be rockin' watching hard-nosed Orange Football...
If you don't mind what perimeters did you use to get it?

You know it's summer when misspelled and no longer existent bands are rockin' at Weedsport!!

That brings back many good memories. I use to work security for the concerts before leaving to join the Air Force. I still think my favorites was Benny Mardones and 38 Special.

Who is this mole you are referring to TexanMark, it wouldn't happen to be one of the Donnelly's?

Just spent about a 6th of my bank account on solid tickets for this game for me and my lady.
