How many times has this happened in pro or college basketball history?

College: Last night, 1983 NC State. Is that it?
NBA: I can't think of any off the top of my head. Was that half-court shot by Jerry West in the early 70s to win it all?

After Paige hit his shot I thought there was no way Nova would win in OT. I turned to my son and said I can't believe how it must feel to be a Nova fan right now after Paige's heroics. Then, after the buzzer beater, I thought all things considered, Nova fans now like Paige's shot because it set up the game winner.
